Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails. - Proverbs 19:21

Taemane Mpopo

Graduated 2014

I’m Taemane Mpopo, I graduated from Lofdal in 2014. I’m currently in Johannesburg. I studied Bcom accounting in 2015 at North-West University(Pukke) and went on further to do my honors which I completed in 2019. I’m currently doing my articles here in Johannesburg at an accounting firm in Rosebank.
The morning chapels and devotions we had were my highlights in Lofdal because looking back this is where we were really built to have faith in God and with that, I learnt that with God on my side I can do anything I put my mind on and it has carried me to where I am today. Lofdal was amazing and I’m glad I went to this school. I don’t wish for anything else.

Graduated 2019

I am Ofentse Mogale and I graduated early 2019 from LCS. I am currently in Kobe, Japan but will be moving to Kyoto, Japan for my main studies soon. I am currently finishing off my Japanese Language Studies and will but starting my Music Composition Studies with a minor in Classical and Jazz. I am finishing off my language studies and will be starting my music studies October next year. Lofdal is where I got the courage to pursue my dream in music as it gave me the tools needed. It gave me a solid foundation in Christ, taught me to work hard and taught me to open up to uncomfortable experiences. Had I not learnt that I wouldn't have applied for music school let alone a scholarship.

My name is Goitsemodimo Mokale. I am a first year student studying B.Com Financial Accounting at North West University Potchefstroom Campus. My highlights of Lofdal was hostel. I feel like I got the privilege of getting to spend 90% of my time with some of the most phenomenal human beings. My favorite year at Lofdal was my matrix year 2018, we made a lot of wonderful memories, whenever we went out to compete with other schools (convention). We were over achievers.

Lindsey Katlego Setlema

Graduated 2016

My name is Lindsay Katlego Setlema. I matriculated in 2016  I live in North riding, Johannesburg  I graduated Film and Television production in 2019 and then I started my Hip hop dance coaching qualification(level 1 and 2) in that same year and I completed it in 2020. I have 2 years left until I acquire my 'Associates' (Advanced diploma in teaching dance), which is what I'm currently studying.  Some highlights and experiences at Lofdal that stood out was, getting to meet Prophet Kobus Van Rensburg, Chapel, Sport.
The funny thing is that I used to be this wild, disrespectful, attention-seeking teenager that just wanted to leave Lofdal so I could be free and party as much as I wanted to in Jozi...But now that I'm in "the real world" and I have all the freedom, it seems all those teachings we got in Chapel are starting to make sense and I'm outgrowing all the stuff that used to be fun in high school. I'll forever be grateful to Lofdal Christian School for 2 things: Not giving up on me, and for always encouraging us to have a relationship with God.

Anelda Smith

Anelda Smith

Graduated 2014

Hello. My name is Anelda Smith. I graduated from Lofdal in 2014. The most memorable events in school happened during our sports competitions. Whether it was sunburnt skin or complete exhaustion from the early mornings and late-night travels we always cam home with awesome stories. Because of our school's environment, I could feel safe to grow into the woman I am today without the extreme social pressure that the majority of children go through. I am thankful for the curriculum I had going through school because it taught me planning and self-discipline in my academics that led to the success of my studies after school. I completed my degree in education and live my passion as a teacher at the school that taught me - Lofdal Christian School.

Patrick Ellis

Graduated 2019

My name is Patrick Ellis. I am currently studying finance in Potchefstroom. This year was a wake-up call of just how much the ways and values that I was taught at school make a difference in the “real world.” In Proverbs 22:6 the Bible says, Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”
I have been a Lofdal student since grade R right up to matric. I am thankful that I had the privilege of growing up in a Christian environment. Being surround by Christian teachers and friends who laid an incredible foundation for my life. Lofdal taught me not only how to excel academically, but also how to live life. It taught me how to plan, how to work hard, how to be kind, how to love, and most importantly, how to pray.

I am Chovi Muhloyo and I graduated in 2014, I am now in Christiana, I am currently studying Agriculture, I am doing my 3rd year, I am on a farm in the Western North Free State working on a agronomy and beef farm.  The highlights for me at LCS was the freedom of worshiping the Lord and learning more about His works, and what was more precious to me was the morning devotions and the church service especially the pool services. The sport activities were also fun because we traveled a lot and got to compete with other schools.

Timothy Malan

Graduated 2019

My name is Timothy Malan and I am currently studying Biokinetics at the NWU in Potch.  I was in Lofdal my entire schooling career and honestly without the impact Lofdal had on me, I would not be where I am today.  They helped me build my foundation by teaching me Christian values that I will use for the rest of my life. I feel privileged to have gone to a school where I was not afraid to be my true self, and I knew that I didn’t have to change my values to fit in with others. I will never forget the experiences and memories I got from Lofdal and if I had the choice to do it again, I would.

Graduated 2015

My name is Joshua Joaquim, I graduated from Lofdal Christian School in 2015.
I am currently doing my final year at the North West University, studying Human Movement and Sports Coaching.
I think, if I had to name my highlights in my schooling career, it would either be the unity and involvement of prayer in every thing we did, time was always made to take it to God, whatever it may have been, and in life, I think that is a key to success, whatever challenge or obstacle you come across, before making a move, take it to God.
